Okay, it’s an enjoyable, if somewhat unrealistic, audiobook; but hey, it’s sci-fi fantasy fiction, so I’m taking it with a grain of salt here. A lot of, quite literal, deus-ex-machina here. The story is fun, the pacing is good, and the narration is decent-

Mr. Stifel, the word is ‘trebuchet’.
It’s pronounced Trey-BOO-shay. Say it with me, TREY-BOO-SHAY, and not treb-YEW-shet. Having to listen to you slaughter this pronunciation repeatedly for several chapters gave me a nervous tic in the corner of my mouth every time you said it; I can’t believe that the editors let this get past them.
All in all, a fun little audiobook, and I’ll be downloading its sequel.
