“Forbidden Ink” may be the hottest Get Ink’d story yet. Tattoo artist Eryk and actor Milo literally collide toward the end of the previous book with a punch-throwing confrontation, and here we learn what lead up to it and journey through the antagonism, anger, grief, sadness, jealousy, caring, passion, and love that comes in the aftermath.

Their lives are thrown together when, upon the death of Milo’s sister Maya, Milo blindsides Eryk with the news he is the father of Maya’s two-year-old daughter. With custody disputes giving way to visits and raising the girl together, the closeted Milo and former player Eryk can’t deny a blazing mutual attraction as their intense passion leads to deepening feelings, life-changing decisions, and a sweet HEA.

Narrator Connor Brown delivers a terrific performance full of emotion and distinct voices. I also like how there’s enough character overlap throughout the Get Ink’d series to nicely tie the books together, but they also work as standalones. I received this free review copy audio book by request and have left this honest review voluntarily.
