In The Ministry for the Future, humanity has both suffered from and somewhat successfully learned to mitigate and live with the effects of climate change. Robinson takes readers on a journey flitting in and out the lives of a diverse array of characters across age, gender, socioeconomic standing and nationality. Some chapters stand as their own creative vignettes. It took me several months to get through this listen, possibly because I was not particularly invested in any character, and more driven to explore the world Robinson detailed. Different voice actors for different characters made for a richer listen.
