This short story is such a wonderful breath of fresh air in between my other reads where the world or a country is at stake. The journey of the main character healing after their trauma had me in tears several times and, overall, it was great to have experienced the m.c.’s journey! The accent of the narrator also had me chuckling and smiling goofily several times (as it’s not one I’m used to) and I definitely loved it.
