Overall, it was a really nice experience as the 1st timer of this popular author. my roots with this type of gene go back to the late 60’s and 70s….Ensign Flandry by Poul Anderson is on its surface a far future science fiction action adventure, but not much beneath is an allegory about the Vietnam War and American foreign policy. Anyway, I am not sure that this book has any modern parallels…it is a nice action adventure, and I look forward to reading more.
