I wish I could rate each of the three book separately. I would give the first book 5 stars all the way around. The second I would give 4 stars for overall and 5 for performance and 4 for Story. The third book disappointed me, and that took stars off Overall and Story, as shown in my rating. It may be that the third book was just as good as the first two, bit I was just tired of the story by then. The main theme is about the same for all three – except for that ending in book 3. I did not like it at all and will not listen to any more books in this series.

The protagonist, Jerry the Librarian is an interesting and lovable character. I also love his girl friend, Erica. His dog, Chewy , is my favorite character. The action scenes are all I could wish for and the humor made me laugh out loud. The author has a remarkable imagination. I don’t know how he thought up some of the scenes and the mutants, such as super smart bears. I enjoyed the series but, as I said earlier, I grew tired of the sameness. It may have been better if I read them as stand alone books and had a break between the three.
