Great story. This is a new to me author but I’ll be looking for more of her books. The premise was interesting and although there were a few places you’ll have to suspend belief it was still a fast paced story with interesting characters. I didn’t particularly love either of the characters in the beginning but they were good for each other. I did find a lot of inconsistencies about preparedness and so forth, I let it all slide because it didn’t really impact the story for me. The basic story is that a new ice age has come. No one would want to believe it would last but people who live in the north do take notice when something like that happens. It definitely would have taken longer than a few days for the situation to devolve as much. I also found a couple of spots where something happens and it just drops off without a tie up but still IT IS FICTION! I’ve only gotten through book 1 thus far. I listened to the audio but I ended up just stopping what I should have been doing so I could finish it. I’ll wait for the weekend to get the next two parts.
