Callie is a teenager who is very grumpy and has a bad attitude .At first I assumed it was unwarranted but then she is mauled by a lion and her parents just brush it off and say she is exaggerating . They don’t bring her home because they want their other daughter to be more independent ?. After that her attitude starts to get better and I do feel for her . This circus did give me chills . I would love to visit there but not be stranded . Puckett gave a amazing performance. Can’t wait for book 2 on Audible .
