I quickly became engrossed in this action packed story. It is amazing that in this shifter world so many of the key characters are teenagers. I found that I kept thinking that they were older. Nico is a dominant alpha male who only wants the best for Olivia even if it means he may lose her. He will do whatever it takes to protect his true mate. Olivia is a young lady that has suffered mentally and physically in her young life. She has a secret goal in her life that keeps her going. I love how she goes from a girl who doesn’t feel love to one that is surrounded by it. Olivia and Nico have a loving support team.
The narrators do a superb job of making the characters come alive. They make me feel the emotions that the characters are experiencing and gave them distinctive voices. They are talented storytellers that I enjoyed listening to. I highly recommend this Audible book. I haven’t listened to the first book of this series, but I intend to remedy that.
