Would you consider the audio edition of Femme to be better than the print version?
I haven’t read the book, only listened, but the narration was SO GOOD. The voices of Dog and Lionel were very distinct and perfect for each character. The narration can have only made a really good book better.
What other book might you compare Femme to and why?
It reminded me of the At First Sight books by TJ Klune. Not quite as over the top wacky as Klune, but if you liked those books, you’d probably like this.
Have you listened to any of Joel Leslie’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I adore Joel Leslie’s narration. He does a great job with making each character sound distinct. I’m always happy to see that he’s narrated a book.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I laughed through much of this book. There is a lot funny in it. There were a few times I wanted to give Dog a good ding around the ear, too.
Any additional comments?
The book is both fun and thought provoking. I enjoyed it thoroughly. The characters, even when they do dumb things, are sympathetic. You want them to get their happy ending. I’m sure it’s going to be one I’ll listen to again.
