Baldree gave an on point performance per usual, but found the story somewhat lacking. Too much rapid advancement through a poorly defined cultivation system/skipping over large chunks of time with one or two sentences instead of well developed scenes or examples.
The author should also consider either being more creative with chapter titles or avoiding them altogether. I will say I was intrigued enough by the end to read more despite these flaws in the first two books.
