The book itself was far more entertaining than I had anticipated it would be.

-The protagonist, Carl’s, as a character and his inner conflicts were relatable
-The characters were interesting and believable
-The pacing was excellent between conflict and downtime, but there seemed to always be progress
-The humor never broke my immersion, even when some of it wasn’t my kind of humor
-I was never beset by an info-dump

But above it all stood the narration and audio quality, as it was all ON POINT.
My personal favorite being how audio distortions were used for disembodied voices. If I were ever to get into audio production, this would be one of my go-to examples of what to strive for.

Major props to Jeff Hays and Soundbooth.
