I wasn’t sure if this book was going to be for me and was pleasantly surprised with a fun and entertaining story that managed to incorporate several aspects of LitRPG into the character development that made the excitement jump off the page. As fans of LitRPG are well aware, many of these books can veer off into harem territory and this storyline does just that. While I generally tend to avoid harem story lines when I know it’s major part of the series, I would make an exception for Wiliam D. Arand as his writing does not push too hard into this area while still managing to retain harems as a major plot line of his stories. Honestly, I would say this series shines despite it’s harem subtext and is worth a listen for the comedy, LitRPG elements, and great plot.
