I have bought over 150 audiobooks in the fantasy setting most of those books ranging from 20 to 40 hours dozens of different series, authors, and narrators. I have never looked forward to the next book in the series to this degree before. The magic/card system is simplistic to understand however it is not limited due to the variety of the cards. The world building is well done the world itself is very different to any other book I have come across. This is the first book I have listened to from Jeff Hays and the voice fit the character well I hope he stays with the series. PS I do not leave reviews sorry for my run on sentences
