I read varying reviews about this book but mostly positive ones. Some said the story was rushed and others said it was too slow in the beginning. The pacing felt right in the beginning of this to me, but then all of the sudden it was like someone deciding to turn on the fast forward button. About an hour and a half before the ending it felt like everything was all but wrapped up. The main questions of this story were answered with just a few muddied details that needed to be argued about and then agreed upon. The foreshadowing about Liam was too obvious, the quick change in the main characters was jarring, and it sucks because it had all the makings of an epic series but it was just too much too fast and then nothing toward the end. The pacing was just all off. That said, I enjoyed the narration and would like to listen to these narrators again. I’m disappointed, it felt like this could have been so much more… it’s really a shame.
