I started this series with this book, book 2. That being said, I really enjoyed this book and didn’t feel too lost. I may go back and listen to book 1, though, because I really liked this series. It has a very Dresden feel to it, without being a copy cat. The narration is great and the world/character building is very good. This is definitely a series that I’m going to devour.
