This is a Lit-RPG story that doesn’t focus heavily on stats. They will mention ‘leveling up’ without going over all the stats every time. It’s an escape-into-a-virtual world adventure that has great character development, and a great story. I really enjoyed the writing on this one, even the pre-game story was interesting.
The narration makes it easy to get submerged in the story. The various accents and voices make it very clear who is talking. I even liked the occasional background music. It made those parts of the story feel like a cut scene in a video game.
Definitely moving on to the next book immediately
