A good story with a distracting performance

The story is good with characters showing strengths, weaknesses, and growth. However the sound production ruins it.

Instead of telling a story they attempt to turn it into a “performance” by electronically processing voices, adding sound effects, and using multiple narrators. This obscures the words and inserts differing sound levels which often make the story difficult to understand.
