if you can turn off reality for yourself, it’s an ok story. I’m in it now so I’ll finish it, but (slight spoiler) the end of the third book made me want to stop, it was the most ridiculous of all the stupid moments our boy “the librarian” puts himself into.
the whole story flip flops between the characters being smart, capable, intuitive badasses when they need to be, to being criminally stupid and naive, just for them to suddenly become badasses again when the chips are down to get out of the bind they’re stupidity put them in.
Repeat over and over again.
