The book starts out pretty good for the genre. It drops you right into the middle of the action and uses flashbacks to tell the background. My only issue is that the story doesn’t seem to really go anywhere. At the end you don’t find yourself very invested in the charachters or their plans. There is a lot of time spent describing pretty mundane things. I’d say it’s a good start to a series, but the author needs to find a way to get the reader invested.

The author does a good job delivering the content and the charachters. Sometimes the pacing seems a little off but that might just be because of the way the story is written.

All in all I’d say it’s pretty on par for the genre. Nothing too groundbreaking, but it isn’t over the top or overly bad either.

I received this book free in exchange for a fair review.
