I hesitated to use a credit for this because of the reviews complaining about all the training, but I’m glad I gave the book a chance. Arthur’s development as a mage requires time, and it’s important for the story that he & others are given that time. This book isn’t “filler”, it’s a vital piece of the story. I enjoyed the different POVs, too. All in all, a good read. Baldree is excellent, as usual.
