This is probably the authors best series. This book felt a little stiff, but still better than those from his other series. I’m particularly enjoying the cultivation explanations as they research a lot better than most wuxia or xianxia, which only really go into the why’s and hows vaguely as an excuse to pontificate about how hard the MC is cheating. It’s also nice to see one that isn’t an alchemist.
