I have been a real fan of Marcus Battle in Tom Abrahams’ “The Traveler” series and was perhaps expecting a lot from this book. Whilst I love the whole post-apocalypse genre, this story just didn’t resonate with me the way I was hoping.

The characters are solid, I enjoyed the initial setting and the challenges James Rockwell and his family faced, but from there, for me, society degerated much too quickly and too much happened in the space of just a few days which left me struggling to believe.

Kevin Pierce does a great job in narration and keep the pace appropriate.

I would like to thank the author/narrator/publisher for providing me this book, free of charge, in return for this unbiased review.
