This was book 2 in “The Protectors” series. Trauma surgeon Ronan Grisham lost everything the day the man he loved was stolen from him in a brutal attack. For eight year Ronan as been killing people who commit some of the worse crimes you can think of. Seth Nichols is the younger brother of his dead lover he has been through a lot at. His parents were killed in a home invasion when he was 14 that left him for dead and then his brother was killed in what he thought was friendly fire in the army when he was 16 his grandmother died. Ronan has been watching Seth he knows that the younger man as been in love with him but when he kissed him he knew he had to let him go because his feelings for him. Seth has not had an easy life although he is rich he has anxiety and panic attacks and at one point he didn’t leave his house for three years. When Ronan shows up he finds that Seth has been mugged he knows that Seth is in trouble someone is trying to kill him. He also finds out that Seth’s therapist wants him and when the guys tries to force himself on Seth Ronan wants to kill him. This was a really good read with lots of emotions on both their parts. Ronan is not the same man that he was he has some secrets that he is holding out on Seth. I knew that Ronan’s book was going to be a good one I listen and read this book all day. The sex scenes between these two were hot Seth was a virgin. Seth is running his father’s company. I really liked both of these character’s a lot. Ronan never realized that they needed each other or the fact that Seth had been suffering. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading and listening to the next book in this series.
