The emotions both fly hign and crash down in this book. You quickly fall in love with characters and sympathize with what they go through. The only problem I had was how the setup felt more like an adventure in the making only to quickly change to handling emotional traumas and I was not ready for the change. My listening dramatically slowed down in the the middle as the conflict started as I was not ready for the shock. I really wanted to stop and not finish because of it and even ignored it for a few days. But I am glad I finished, even if it did not go the way I thought it would. While Misaki is awesome, Mamoru was my favorite.
