I received a free credit for this book but thoroughly and unexpectedly enjoyed it. The crew at soundbooth theatre did an amazing job as always. There is something that raised my hackles and I’m guessing it is something that comes out when you edit in the music with the narrator. I’m not sure when it happens, but there is often a digital warbling that happens when both the music and narrator ‘speak’ at the same time. I noticed this also happened in life reset series when they started doing more music and ambient sounds. don’t get me wrong, they did an amazing job but this one thing frustrated me. I don’t think anyone else could have pulled off this book series but I was looking for cleaner tones.

as far as the story: it was too short! love the premise. great ideas but I also start to cringe a bit when it starts to lean to the harem part of the story. I am not sure what exactly caused the MC to leave suddenly to go back to their dojo. maybe I missed it but that sudden jump seemed more like the author was tired of writing and switched gears to end it.

I would for sure listen to more of the story.
