I really enjoyed this story and it’s performance. With one notable exception. I’ll get to that in a minute. The story and characters are interesting and engaging. I found all of the characters compelling enough to worry about them whenever a fight arose, and the world was painted in such incredible detail. The only real complaint I had was having to listen to the character stats over and over. I really wish they had abbreviated them given most of the information was unnecessary. I know it’s hard when visual data is presented in a book (I’m looking at you ready player one) but there’s gotta be a better way to express it. I would still recommend this to anyone looking for a light hearted adventure.
