The story is a tale of bankers and bureaucrats working together to curb greenhouse gas emissions. If only! This is the kind of magical thinking that has gotten us on this mess. It’s no wonder neocons the world over recommend this book.
There are a few glimpses into the catastrophic ecosystem breakdown that scientist are warning about. The depiction of heatwave death makes this worth easing however, the reality of what it would be like is ridiculously sanitized. Overall climate change is minimized and glossed over. Biosphere collapse wasn’t even touched upon. Human suffering is depicted as if written by a psychopath. This was such an odd book. No wonder the jet setting globalists love it.
