Listened to it twice, back to back. It’s well written, with likable, memorable characters and a well balanced amount of witty humor and action. The momentum and development of the story is pleasantly steady without feeling rushed.
Without spoiling anything, I particularly enjoyed the concept of how the virus works and how the main character gradually learns more about it without seeming omnipotent.
Definitely not your typical zombie series. I’ll definitely come back to this, just found the tenth book and im going to give it a listen.
TLDR; Worth the listen, an absolute steal for a 55 hour box set with good narration. (I got the set for just under $20 usd.)
New takes on zombies, witty humor, definitely violent at parts, but that comes with the territory.
Solid characters, good momentum, and leaves you looking forward to the next book.
