This book was a dumpster fire of a story. Absolutely nothing made any sense. Every big event was deftly sidestepped in favor of putting in seemingly random plot twists.
Sure some of the other books in the series had plot holes, but they were strung together in a way that kept the story entertaining. This book was all plot holes without anything meaningful to string it together. You might as well have written the first chapter and then skipped to the end for all the clout the story had. Every meaningful conclusion was set up in a previous book and not this one. Making this whole book feel like a hollow cash grab.
