A difficult topic very well written

This was very hard to listen to at certain points in the story but the narration was entertaining and pretty on point with the characters.

The main topic of the book was a young girl and an older male falling in love for the long haul while both suffered from traumatic family lives. I kept hoping the relationship would turn into a father/daughter type relationship that they both could have really benefited from. So when it turned into them having sexual relations I almost stopped listening because it was hard to hear some of it. The author did a very good job at writing such a difficult topic and the narrator did a great job at portraying each character; it kept me in it until the end.

All in all I think it made me really think and feel the “ugly and wonderful” even after I got to the end.
