I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. This review is for the audio copy of Ash The Alt Apocalypse, Book 1: by Tom Abrahams and narrated by Kevin Pierce. I asked for this book because Kevin Pierce is my favorite narrator. He does the best reading of this type of genre of books. He does not disappoint in this book. I was very pleasantly surprised when at the beginning of the book a description of the intent for this series was described. Basically, each book in the series will be a stand-alone story; subsequent books will keep the same characters but will change up the scenarios they will be face. The outcomes will be different in each book based on the character’s abilities to deal with that particular scenario. As far as I am concerned this is an outstanding method that inspires thought provoking ideas. A person can learn from these stories and apply these learnings into their preparedness plans. This particular story was interesting, character development was consistent throughout the story, and the ending was satisfactory. I don’t want to spoil the story line so you will have to get the book to see what the characters are faced with in this scenario. This was a satisfying story; I rate it among my upper third favorite books of this genre. Of course Kevin makes it come alive in my mind as I listen to him and I always give a book a try if he is the narrator. I recommend the book and highly recommend the narrator.
