The title of this book is – Lit, The Alt Apocalypse, Book 2. It was Apocalypse that caught my attention. This is a series with the same characters but different scenarios in each book. Tom Abrahams did a great job setting the scene and exploring the different reactions of others when a massive fire breaks out which does define an apocalypse.
But, I was waiting for the exciting story of the dystopian society. How each character was prepared for a disaster and the epic mayhem that follows but that story wasn’t here. We have nine-tenths of the storyline involving the fires, which was well written, and then a smidgen at the end about preparing for the apocalypse.
It was a great, short read! This story would have been a five for me if this was the first half of the book. As always, Kevin Pierce is a master narrator in this genre which is why I requested the free audiobook and I have given my honest review.
