I absolutely love this series! Each book is so entertaining and lighthearted fun. Here’s my thoughts on each book:
Witch You Well
A Delightful Tale
This is a delightful, lighthearted and fun listen! I enjoyed this book from beginning to end. It’ll have you chuckling, rolling your eyes and loving the characters! Aunt Pearl is a nut and you can’t help but love her!! The narrator does an excellent job bringing this story to life. Her character voices were wonderful and distinct. This is a great listen if you are looking for an easy listen to help you escape reality for a short time.
Rags to Witches
What a Road Trip!
This installment takes Cen, her mom and her crazy Aunt Pearl to Las Vegas. Oh my goodness! Aunt Pearl is such a riot! Her over the top antics are hilarious and, this time, a bit on the dangerous side. In this book I will say that Cen gets on my nerves a bit about not doing magic. She’s cheating and wants to be “normal”. Well, you’ll have to listen to find out how it all turns out. The great thing about this series is that you don’t have to read/listen to the books in order but it does help to add to the next one if they are read/listened in order. The narration was wonderful. Petrea Burchard does a great job with the many voices and emotions from beginning to end. She really brings the story to life and helps to immerse the listener into this fun and cozy world. Highly entertaining and if you enjoy cozy mysteries then you should check out this series.
Witch & Famous
Westwick Witches Meets Hollywood
This installment has the small town of Westwick meeting Hollywood when a movie is being shot in the sleepy little town. My heart went out to Cen who not only had to deal with Aunt Pearl’s antics but her Aunt Amber’s as well. This story will keep you highly entertained just the two books before. It’s not necessary to read/listen to the first two to enjoy this one but it does help with backstory. Which Aunt will become more famous? How will the town survive two over-the-top characters competing with each other? Will Cen and Tyler figure out who’s responsible and keep their sanity intact? You’ll just have to listen to find out. The narration by Petrea Burchard is wonderfully done. She keeps the voices the same from book one to this one which is awesome. She really gives the characters life and truly brings the story to life for the listener.
