This was one of those books that’s just a reasonably fun read. It has some intrigue early on, then switches to space travel adventures and crazy developments starting with going to another planet.

Some of the main plot points and setup never quite feel realistic, and there are times where a character feels bizarrely uninformed about the world they live in to provide a lead-in to some exposition, but it’s a light enough read overall that this doesn’t hurt things too much.

Nothing earth-shattering here, just a decently fun time.
