Overall the book is well written and beautifully narrated. Compelling side characters along side a world that feels vast with many secrets to discover. Honestly the only real issue I have is with the main character. At times he exibits traits that make me want to find out what’s next. Showing honor, friendship and loyalty along with a quick wit. Yet then he turns around becomes dark, angry, manipulative making me wonder why I am still reading (or listening) to this book. This author has a chance to show some real character growth that can lead to an epic tale or the author can go down the easy path of self destruction that will kill the whole story. Its already got a main character who is somewhat hard to root for but the next book in the series will determine weather I will continue reading. I sincerely hope this goes in the a better direction the bonus at the end implies.
