Would you listen to Femme again? Why?
Absolutely! Great story that is really a satire of the gay community and how “straight acting” gay men won’t date “femmes.” Add Joel Leslie to the mix and you’ve got a great listen!
What was one of the most memorable moments of Femme?
When Lionel shows up at the bar in red high heels to take on Chuckie.
What does Joel Leslie bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Joel brings life to everything he narrates. The voices, the accents, the humor, the sadness, the man can do it all. Joel makes every book he has narrated become a movie in my mind.
If you could take any character from Femme out to dinner, who would it be and why?
Dog. He sounds like my type and I don’t think we got as much about him and his background as we did with Lionel.

I will definitely be listening to this again. Loved the story, the dialog was great, the satire was great, Marshall Thornton has written a wonderful book that has just been brought to life by Joel Leslie.
