It started off a bit slow, but drew me in quickly.
Very intriguing characters set on a remote outpost world during a human-alien war.
Our hero/engineer becomes stranded and must use his ingenuity to survive an inhospitable environment while evading the enemy.
Back at home, he’s been declared legally dead, but his replacement isn’t convinced.
Excellent character development and nicely interwoven narratives make this worth the read, and I will be looking forward to the next installment in the series.
