I was captivated listening to this true crime story. The author put his heart and soul into writing this book, and it shows. Meticulous research, and I enjoyed his reporting of the “monster’s” court trial. Also, I have to mention that Kevin Pierce is just a great narrator, perfect for a crime story like this, with his slightly gravelly voice and direct style.

There are some quite graphic, violent scenes described in the book. But the victims who survived told their stories, and showed courage in going after the offender to get justice. I was gratified by that.

The downside is the book is a bit too drawn out. It’s 19 hours, and especially towards the end, it drags a bit. However, I still recommend it, all things considered.
