First off this is a fun book and I’m not suggesting people don’t pick it up and read it. However, the main plot line… appears to borrow liberally from the main plot in Continue Online by Stephan Morse. Similar to how Iron Druid borrows liberally from Dresden Files. That doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoy it just has a very similar feel to the other series what with the death of the wife prior to the start of the series and the possibility of the wife coming back virtually. This book is different in it’s own ways and I guess there are a finite number of plots out there but I thought this plot was a little too uncomfortably close to the previous work for my taste… that’s why I dinged the story one star.
