Wow. Sloane has once again blown me away with book 2 of this series. I didn’t think it could get any better than book 1,but I was clearly mistaken!
The tortured soul that Ronin displayed will have you wanting to hold him and tell him everything will be ok. He may be a stone cold killer, but he is so broken emotionally that you can’t help but love him. The love he clearly has for Seth, even though he wants to ignore it, is so evident and will have your heart break because he doesn’t feel worthy of Seth’s love.
Seth has survived so much trauma that it’s not surprising that he doesn’t want to leave the house and is afraid of everything. He is head over heels in love with Ronin and has been for years but he can’t handle the heartache Ronin causes when he walks away.
Ronin is insistent on keeping Seth safe, no matter what. He vows to himself that once the threat is taken care of he will walk away, but will he have the strength? This is a beautiful tale of 2 broken souls who find solace in each other. It gets quite heated. Wowza! These 2 have significant chemistry that can’t be ignored.
