I didn’t dislike the book, it was right up my alley. My recommendation would be to read it. the female detective’s leads character would have been fine had it not been for the terrible attempt at a Boston accent. It just ruined it for me and the worst was that it was like the narrator would be speaking normal and then it seemed like she remembered she’s suppose to have a Boston accent and it would kick in. Very inconsistent and just plain bad.
The other narrators were fine, the male lead was good, but when it was his chapter and he was having conversations with the detective with the Boston accent in his narration there was no accent. In any other’s actually. Skip this one and read it instead.
