Hard Time is aptly named. This book felt like the angst ramped up a bit from the previous book. As with book one, this book is not a stand-alone. It picks up where we left off in book one. I highly recommend reading this in order. I cannot stress that enough. Lucky you, all three are out, so that shouldn’t be a hardship.

Things are not looking so good for Micky and his brother, Flynn. My heart just ached for Micky as he has to learn that Dan is someone he can rely on. That is not an easy task for Micky, and I can’t blame him, given his past. I was glad that Dan stood by him through everything and was willing to fight for them when Micky needed it the most. The emotion in this story was incredible. That was only made better by the narration.

Piers Ryman continues to amaze me with his talents. He delivered another incredible performance narrating these characters, plus all the side characters. This author and narrator are a perfect combination, and I hope it continues for many more books to come.
