Liked the premise but the two main characters were a bit frustrating. I thought Eve would be a little more bada** but she came off as clueless throughout the whole book. Xai spoke mostly in riddles so it was hard to get a read on him. Most of the action happens at the end and then the book is over. I personally liked some of the side characters more than the main ones.
Narration was good and is mostly in the female POV.
