There is definitely some tear jerking moments, in this book. Saber, the Hero, who has been an elite warrior his entire adult life, suffers a traumatic injury that changes the course of his life; he does not handle this fact well. He suffers greatly physically and emotionally and, as a result, sabotages his relationship, with the Heroine.
The Heroine suffers her own life threatening event and this helps Saber snap out of his pity party.
There are a lot of sweet moments, in this book but, unfortunately, a major event is not resolved, during this book. I think it’s a rip off for authors to release incomplete books for financial gain so I’ll be avoiding any further books from the author, for awhile, as a personal protest. (I did enjoy the incomplete story, however.
