I am not sure how to rate this book. I have read several books that carry like premises, and I enjoy them. However, I am iffy about the execution here. Pivotal moments in the book just happened out of the blue without any build up, whereas obvious turns were discussed at length. I am all about getting to the point, but when you have a character that has already made up his/her mind without much explanation, there is something lacking. I would say that much of the inner dialogue was repetitive and focused on the characters’ very intense feelings without the facts necessary to anchor those feelings. Otherwise, the strong emotions are out of place. I think further detail would have saved this book.
I always enjoy Sarah’s narration but prefer a male to supplement.
