Pilgrimage is three novellas combined into one cohesive story. It is the story of a family trying to get home from a vacation after a cataclysm happens. The three parts are sequential pieces of the journey to make one complete story.

I liked the focus on one family without jumping all over. As usual you have the main character showing unbelievable skills with no training. But in this case it is a bit toned down other than being a perfect shot under pressure with no training.

Each section is a complete story – for that piece of the journey. Each one starts in the middle of something, then goes back and tells the whole story. The way each part starts makes you think the stories are out of order until you realize what is happening. Also, the time stamps every few minutes become very annoying and are unnecessary other than for the beginning of each part.

Kevin Pierce did his usual fabulous job narrating these stories.

Overall I found this to be a good read that would be worth the credit for the adventure.
