The book keeps a good pace and the premise is interesting and stays so throughout the book. The use of modern technology is believable and fascinating to see deployed in the setting. The writing is a bit mechanic, there are too many details that does not bolster the story and the lead character remains relatively unaffected by the massive amount of killing. That said, I am curious to know how the story ends and I will continue on the next book.
