Starting this book I was not sure how this new take on writing would work out. After reading and enjoying ASH I was hoping that for another great Tom Abrahams’s tale and I was not disappointed. There were a couple of fits and starts at the beginning while I was getting my sea legs putting the same ASH characters into new places/situations. Then everything fell into rhythm and the story took off.
There were a couple of points where I felt that the characters could have made smarter choices to deal with the fires, but over all the story was very well written and made me not want to put it down.
Kevin Pierce did an excellent job on the narration and it made for an excellent listen.
I heartily recommend this book as a great read and I look forward to the next story in the series!
