It felt like I waited forever for this next installment in the The Alliance. SE Smith has written another good story Although some of her characters may have similarities with heroes and heroines from past books, Smith is able to make Edge and Lina individuals in their own right. The story was not as fast passed as some of the others but once it got going, it went fast. I must comment on the insta-love which at times is annoying. Lina went from 0 to 10 in about the same amount of pages although there was some angst it happened pretty fast. Overall, I think it is a good addition to the series and I did not mind that it ended with a lead in to the next book.
David Brennan is the narrator as he is for all the SE Smith books I have read and I always enjoy listening to him. He does all the voices and does them in such a way you are able to distinguish who is speaking without being told.
Overall I enjoyed this audible book.
